This list isn't exhaustive, but aims to help with the more common issues that users might need help with. If the answer you require isn't here then please feel free to ask us a question HERE.

We don't charge for registration, listing an item, selling an item, or for buying an item - However, PayPal usually charge for the seller between 3-4% for using their service, we have no control over this, and we receive no commission from PayPal.

Username - Your Username MUST NOT contain any spaces.
Password - Your password must be at least 6 characters long.
Email Adress - Tell us the email address that you would prefer to recieve notifications through.
PayPal Email - This is the email address you use when logging into PayPal. We need this so that when you buy you are taken straight to the PayPal website, and so that when you sell, and you receive payment, the payment is sent to the PayPal account with that address. If you get this wrong you won't be able to buy or receive payment when you sell.
Address - This is the address to which all of your purchases will be delivered.
Agreements - You must tick this box to confirm that you have read and agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of the site.
Captcha - We need to you to succesfully pass the Captcha test so that the site can't be accessed by robots.


Once you have finished, hit the Complete Registration button, you will then be taken to a page that says: We have sent you an email with your verification code.
This code is to make sure that the email address you have given us is correct.
To complete the registration process, please enter the code with your information below.

You should receive an email very shortly after complating registration, you can either enter your Username and code manually, or you can simply click the link in the email, doing the latter will take you to the Sign In page - simply sign in, then you can sell or buy!
Issues to do with PayPal are best discussed with PayPal directly.
You won't be able to use this site without a PayPal account.
  1. Go to the PayPal Site (opens in a new window) and create an account.
  2. Ensure that you link your PayPal account to either your bank account, debit card, or a credit card.
  3. When registering to use Shnoh.com you will be asked for your PayPal email address, this is so that when you make a purchase you are directed to the correct PayPal account
  4. We don't need to know your PayPal password.
If, after clicking on 'Checkout with PayPal', your are taken to the PayPal login page but you find that it 'hangs' (gets stuck), do the following:

Close App > Re-Open App > Sign In, Go to > 'My Account Home' > 'Bidding' > 'Won'. Find the item you won then click on 'Checkout' > click 'Checkout with PayPal' > login to PayPal > choose prefered method of payment > click 'Continue'> click 'Pay Now'.

If that doesn't work close the app, then open Shnoh! in a browser and follow the above instruction.


If, when you click 'Checkout with PayPal' in Internet Explorer, PayPal doesn't load properly, close the browser and log into Shnoh.com either with Chrome or a browser other than Internet Explorer, or on your phone, then go to your account, then go to Bidding > Won, here you will find the item that you wish to buy, simply click the 'Checkout' button, you will be taken to the invoice, here click on 'Checkout with PayPal', you should be taken through to the PayPal site and complete the payment successfully.

(This is an issue that only affects Internet Explorerer 11, which, unfortunately, is beyond our control.)

If you still can't get to PayPal after clicking the 'Checkout with PayPal' then you'll need to contact PayPal directly.
If, after clicking on 'Checkout with PayPal' you don't get through, check your PayPal password, to do this, go to PayPal in a seperate browser window (Click Here) and try to sign in, if you sign in successfully open shnoh.com, sign in, go to:

My Account > My Account Home > Listing Preferences > Payment

Make sure that the email address given in 'PayPal Email' is the same as the one you used to sign in to PayPal

If that doesn't work it might be a browser issue...

If, when you click 'Checkout with PayPal', PayPal doesn't load properly, close the browser and log into Shnoh.com either with Chrome or a browser other than Internet Explorer, or on your phone, then go to your account, then go to Bidding > Won, here you will find the item that you wish to buy, simply click the 'Checkout' button, you will be taken to the invoice, here click on 'Checkout with PayPal', you should be taken through to the PayPal site and complete the payment successfully.

This is an issue that only affects Internet Explorerer 11, which, unfortunately, is beyond our control.

If you still can't get to PayPal after clicking the 'Checkout with PayPal' then you'll need to contact PayPal directly.
Select where the item to be sold is physically located.
Choose the appropriate category and sub category for the item you are selling.
You can either sell by 'Auction', where you have a basic starting price which increases every time someone bids, the price reached by the end of the auction is the price you will receive for your item.

Or you can sell by 'Fixed Price', which means that the first buyer to click 'Buy Now' wins the item.
Choose your prefered currency.
This simply means the country in which the item being sold is located, it is used as a reminder to the buyer of where the item is.
Indicates whether you are willing to send internationally or only locally (within your own country), or whether you will only allow an item to be collected in person.
Fixed Price
If you are selling for a fixed Price enter the price that you want to get for your item.

Enter '1' in the 'Quantity' field if you are selling one item, if you are selling more than one item then enter the approriate number.
Only enter a number greater than '1' IF the items are IDENTICAL


Auction
If you are selling by Auction, enter the 'Starting Price', which could be high or low, depending on what minimum you are willing to accept (the final price you get will be the most successful bid.)

You can add a 'Reserve Price' this will ensure that you item will either sell for AT LEAST the reserve price, or not at all if the bidding doesn't reach the reserve price.
There are 8 delivery Options:

Local 'Signed For' - Within your own country, this is any Local delivery service that requires a signature when delivered (this is the service that we recommend because there is proof of delivery).
Local 'Unsigned' - Within your own country, this is the standard delivery service, but doesn't provide proof of delivery.
Local Courier - This is any standard courier service, eg. Hermes, UPS etc.
Free Postage - This is any service, Local or international, 'Signed For' or 'Unsigned', where you have chosen to waive the delivery costs.
Collect In Person - This is where either you will only offer Collect in Person, or where you offer it in addition to other services.
International 'Signed For' - This is any international delivery method that requires a signature nwhen delivered.
International 'Unsigned' - This is where you send an item internationally without a signature being required when delivered.
International Courier - this is any courier service which delivers internationally.

Choose your prefered delivery option, add the price for delivery, then click 'Add'.

If you are willing to offer more than one delivery option then simply choose another option, add another cost then press 'Add' to add the extra option.

Even if you are offering 'Free Postage' and/or 'Collect In Person' you will need to add a 0 (ZERO) in the 'Cost' box.

If you DON'T click 'ADD', your item will be listed WITHOUT a delivery option, which means that you will have to enter into correspondence with the the successful buyer about how to get the item to them.
If you leave 'Start Date/Time' blank, the listing will begin as soon as you click 'Create Listing'. If you prefer, you can specifiy a specific date and time for a listing to begin.

Auction Duration
You can choose your auction to last for 7, 10, or 14 days, after which the price reached is the price you will receive.

Auction Auto Relist
When selling by auction you can choose to auitomatically relist the item if it doesn't attract any bids or if it doesn't meet its reserve price. You can choose to relist up to 5 times.

Fixed Price Duration
You can choose to list your item for 3, 5, 7, 10, or 14 days.

When your item is sold you will receive an email telling you the name of the buyer and the price that your item sold for. Further down the email there is a link 'CLICK HERE FOR ADDRESS DETAILS' this link will take you to the invoice for the item which will have the prefered address under 'Shipping Address'.
If the item has been paid then go to your invoices HERE then click on the invoice for the item that has been dispatched. On the top of the invoice click 'Mark as Dispatched'
Send yourself a password reset via email.
  1. From the sign in page select the Forgot password? link or click here.
  2. Enter your email address associated with your account and click the [Submit] button.
  3. Check your email inbox. If the email does not arrive in your inbox be sure to check your junk mail folder or spam filter.
  4. Click the reset link in that email.
  5. Choose a new password.
You can change your password at any time.
  1. From your logged in account, go to your "My Account" area.
  2. From the left hand menu, select "Account > Password."
  3. Enter your current password.
  4. Choose your new password.
  5. Save your changes by clicking the [Change Password] button.
If you are not receiving expected site emails, please check the following:
  1. Check your junk mail folder or spam filter for the missing emails.
  2. Make sure that your email address, in your account settings, is entered correctly.
  3. Verify that your email client, such as Outlook, is not in “offline” mode.
  4. If you use a POP3 connection to retrieve your email, please verify that the emails were not downloaded to a different computer.
You can change your email address by editing your account details within your “My Account” area.
Every user must select a username for their account. The username can only contain letters, numbers, underscores, and hyphens. We recommend replacing all [spaces] with either an underscore or hyphen.

Incorrect: MY Username
Correct: MY-Username
Correct: MY_Username


Or, it says that the username selected is already in use. Usernames are unique. Two users cannot share the same username. If you get a notice during registration that your username is already in use, you will need to select a different username.
If you get a notice that your email address is already in use when creating an account, it means that you have already created an account with us at some point. If you do not remember your login information, please enter your email address into the forgotten password form and you will be able to reset your password and log in to your account.
  1. Contact the buyer and ask them to check that they have paid.
  2. Go to PayPal and check to see if the money has hit your account.
  1. Have you paid for the item? Go to Won Bids and check you have no outstanding payments to make.
  2. Was the item 'Collect in Person' only, ? If so, either collect it, or contact the seller to discuss the posssibility of them posting it.
  3. Did the seller specify that they were only willing to post locally? (not to a different country).
  4. Ask the seller if they dispatched the item, can they provide proof of postage? (tracking number etc).
  5. If you do not receive your item and you do not wish to go through the PayPal dispute resolutioon process, then log into PayPal and ask for a refund.
Before payment has been made through PayPal.
  1. Contact the other party and try to resolve the dispute.
  2. If you have tried to resolve the dispute but you haven't managed to find a resolution, then you can ask us to review the dispute and give a decision. This decision, as stated in the terms and conditions, will be final and we will enter in to no further correspondance re the dispute.
After payment has been made through PayPal
  1. Contact the other party and try to resolve the dispute.
  2. If you have tried to resolve the dispute but you haven't managed to find a resolution, then you must take your dispute to the PayPal Dispute Resolution Website:

  3. Follow the PayPal Resolution process.
  4. PayPal have the power to reimburse a buyer if they decide that that is the approriate action to take.
